When 15-year-old Shannon swam with the dolphins at Discovery Cove, there was no one more proud than her mother Kathy. Since Shannon was born, Kathy has watched her daughter fight valiantly against Angelman Syndrome, a neurological disorder that severely affects her speech, mobility, and balance. But this New Westminster, BC teen has never let her physical disability stop her from dreaming. She has always loved sea creatures, and her most cherished dream was to swim with dolphins…
